The news section of Finimize is a section I find myself coming back to, a lot. If you’re like me and short-form videos have blessed you with the attention span of a goldfish, then the way Finimize delivers news is perfect.
Each new article they deliver is short and sweet in the same, predictable 3 part structure.
They present a piece of news and breakdown:

- What does this mean?
- Why should I care?
This format is great as it exposes you to a breaking or trending topic such as “Australian Famers Have Too Many Sheep” and then explains what’s happening, what it means and how that will have an impact on the markets and economy at large.
Personally, I like this as it can spark ideas to do some deeper research on topics that catch my eye. I also don’t have to read a 5,000-word article to try and understand what is going on. Finimize gets to the point with a short and sweet analysis.
Complex topics are also well broken down into easy-to-understand terms without a tonne of investing jargon.
Analysis
Finimize has a premium analysis section where the releases regular analysis of recent developments that could affect the markets. They cover companies, specific market sectors, macroeconomic changes and much more.
These reports are well-written and go in-depth on the topics they cover. if you want to keep up to date with the biggest events moving the markets, this is a great place to find out what exactly has been going on.
In the Finimize app you also have access to stock charts and company financials for analysis. Some other apps charge for this data alone, so it’s a nice feature to have included in your Finimize subscription.
For each stock, you can see a stock chart and basic financial metrics such as Forward P/E, Free Cash Flow Yield, Return on Invested Capital, Sales Growth and more. If you don’t understand what a metric means, you can click on the information icon to get an explanation of what the metric means.
You can also click on the content section for each stock and read any articles Finimize has produced related to that specific stock.
I would like to see this feature on the web version of Finimize. However, if you mainly use the mobile app, its a great addition to the service.
Education
If you are new to investing, the education section of Finimize is a great way to learn about the basics of investing. This section includes complete guides on everything from Personal Finance to the investing styles of famous investors like Warren Buffet and Ray Dalio.
The education section features a range of different categories including Personal Finance, How To Start Investing, Investment Strategies, Investment Outlooks, Industries, Country Guides and much more.
One particular section I found particularly interesting was the country guides. As someone who mainly focuses on investing in the United States it was interesting to see what opportunities are opening up in other markets.
While these guides are much longer reads than their news pieces, they are still broken down in an easy-to-understand format. A common theme I see is their “What is it”. “Why is it like that” and “How does it affect me/the market”. This makes the information really easy to digest.
The education section is somewhere I expect I will spend some more time over the coming weeks as there were plenty of topics that caught my eye that I want to learn more about. Overall it’s a great place to start as a new investor.

Does The Finimize Community Provide Any Value?
Before signing up for Finimize, I thought there would be some form of online community however the community aspect is solely events-based. They hold over 500 events per year all across the world. Members of the community have the option to apply to be an event host and host online events bi-weekly or to become part of the Modern Investor summit leadership team and host meetups in their own city.
As I’m writing this article there is a large summit being held with huge keynote speakers such as Ray Dalio and Jamie Dimon. I’m excited to tune into this event and see what these two speakers have to say about the current market environment.
I think it would be worthwhile for Finimize to add an online community where members can chat with each other and discuss investments.

Finimize vs Free Daily Newsletters
There is no shortage of Free Daily Newsletters out there, so why would you pay for Finimize? Personally, I really enjoy the writing style of Finimize which is why I gravitate towards it more than other newsletters. However, Finimize also has a rang of other features outside of their daily newsletter that you’re paying for including analysis on certain stocks and macro topics, audio readings of each of their news pieces, community events etc.
If you enjoy how Finimize’s content reads compared to the competition, you will likely find value in their subscription as well as it is reasonably priced.
Is Finimize Worth Purchasing For You?
If you are someone who has a keen interest in the markets and wants timely news delivered in an easy-to-understand manner, I think Finimize is well worth the small price tag. For me, it has been a great source of finding new investment ideas as well as content ideas for Money Sprout.
Finimize really gets to the point with its content and provides you with a basic overview of a certain situation. They take the time to dig into the details and pull out the important information so I don’t have to. That alone makes the subscription worth it for me.
If you’re looking for extremely in-depth financial analysis on specific stocks, Finimize probably isn’t the app for you. It does a great job of providing a broad overview of what’s happening in the markets but may not go deep enough in certain situations.
